Breathless
after leaving secondary school 3 yrs ago .. i've hardly play field soccer .. and tat really shows when we ( me and jun ) ran out of steam in this afternoon match.
Took a cab down to St. Wified sports complex as Kenneth is in the middle of a jam over at jb and cant make it in time to fetch us.
Match starts at one .. there's a official (as in we pay him) referee and the pitch is made of artifical grass. It really looks good. just that the sun makes the pitch feels like we are stepping on hell.
Welcome to hell.
Played as right wing while jun played as left-back. No warm up no nothing .. we were thrown into the match just like tat .. we dun even know our team mates name. True enough .. our lack of match fitness show ..
got sub out after around 20 mins or so .. jun too .. but we got sub back in again in the second half. cuz those uncles were tired too .. haa .. they are using the basketball subsitution rules. meaning u can go in and out as many times.
oh ya forget to mention .. our team u can say the average age is around 30+. We are the youngest.
give us a few more matches .. and i believe we will be able to perform. haa ..
